I Can vouch for the Aire's sites, they are brill, we have used the one just on the outskirts of Calais a number of times, having got the last ferry over, stopped the night, ready for a full days drive the following day

Another fav North France stop is the Honfleur site, near the big bridge - Cracking site

love honfleur, stayed at the motel les bluets (near macdonalds) very handy for le havre! a group of us on motorcycles stoped there for a few days. great time!!

Normal advice about stopping overnight on motorway services in France is NEVER! Prone to break-in etc, my son will vouch for this having been broken into on such a stop-over. In many instances the police will advise you not to stop overnight in such places.

There are a good number more websites available if you search, some just Aires, some Municipal campsites and some covering all types.

Yes, got to keep your wits about you in the truck stops, I like the Aires myself, cheap as chips and safety in numbers as far as the Campers go.
